Produced by members of Thespian Troupe 660, the Spring One Acts are free shows directed by students with limited rehearsal time, and minimal props and costumes. The shows are an opportunity for students to try out directing, and for students who haven't participated in other shows to dip a toe in the pool of acting. Admission is FREE, but donations are gladly accepted! This year's shows include "Words Words Words" directed by senior Soren Martin and "So You Wanna Be a Cheerleader" directed by junior Evie Rizzo.
"So You Wanna Be a Cheerleader" follows the plight of a fictional cheer squad that, needing a fifth member to compete at Nationals, holds open auditions. A motley crew shows up to try out, from a clumsy football player to a goth girl, making the captains question their dream of victory.
"Words Words Words" answers the age old question, what goes through the minds of three captive monkeys charged with the task of writing Shakespeare's Hamlet? Join us Thursday or Friday to find out!
